Araceli Masterson

Araceli Masterson is a Ph.D. candidate in the Dept. of Spanish and Portuguese at the University of Arizona. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and holds Masters Degrees in Teaching and Teacher Education, and Latin American Studies. Her work includes a transnational ethnography of Ecuadorian immigrant women in Madrid, Spain, and research on migration and the production/imaginaries of space. She collaborates with the Mexican American Studies Research Center at the University of Arizona on various research projects and advocacy programs on the Mexico-U.S. border.
