Billye Foster
Ph.D., Associate Professor, Department of Agricultural Education Team teaching is a strong segment of the Agricultural Education program at the U of A. Along with her colleagues, Foster teaches segments of all the methodology and curriculum courses in the Department. Foster is the lead instructor for curriculum development and the AgED senior capstone class. In addition, Foster coordinates the teacher preparation program for Agricultural Education. Foster also teaches courses for the College including "Women in Agriculture" and "Preparing for Diversity in the Work Place."

Women in Agriculture and Extension Education are the focus of Dr. Foster's research at the University. Along with her research Foster began the Desert Roses Newsletter in 1996. Designed originally as a support letter for women teaching Agricultural Education in Arizona, the newsletter now reaches women nationwide. Wide acceptance of the newsletter led to the development of the Desert Roses Web Site. Foster also serves as the web master for the Association for Women Faculty at UA and is a member of the CALS MROC Committee, the CALS Diversity Committee, and the MROC Fair Task Committee. She has recently completed the ESCOP/ACOP (Experiment Station Committee on Organization and Policy and the Academic Committee on Organization and Policy) Leadership Development Program and created a support web site for the CALS Administrators and Faculty. Foster also is web master for the CALS Women web site.
