Professor Licona's research interests include borderlands and feminist rhetorics, Chicana theory, gender studies, social change/documentary film, feminist pedagogies, and participatory and feminist action research. She serves on the advisory board of the National Women’s Studies Association Journal. Two forthcoming publications include "Borderlands Peregrinations," Nóesis: Revista de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades, and "Re-thinking Integration as Reciprocal Process: Implications for Research and Practice" in the Journal of Latino-Latin American Studies.
