Sallie A. Marston
Ph.D., Professor, Department of Geography and Regional Development

Sallie Marston is currently a Professor in the Department of Geography and Regional Development at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Her research focuses on United States urban politics and the importance of space to the shaping of political activism. She has published widely and is on the editorial board of four scholarly journals. She is also the author of two textbooks. Her recent scholarly publications include work on scale, identity politics, and domesticity among 19th century anglo urban women. She is also a co-editor, along with Susan Aiken, Ann Brigham and Penny Waterstone of Making Worlds: Gender, Metaphor, Materiality (Tucson: University of Arizona Press, 1997).
