Adam Geary
Assistant Professor of Women's Studies Adam Geary received his Ph.D. in 2004 from the History of Consciousness Department at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he wrote a dissertation analyzing the cultural logic that organizes contemporary AIDS-prevention sciences. His MA is from the Pacific School of Religion in early Christian literature and history. He does research and teaches in the areas of health and AIDS studies; feminist, queer and cultural theory; science and technology studies; and religious studies. An article, "Culture as an Object of Ethical Governance in AIDS Prevention," was published recently in the journal Cultural Studies (vol. 21, nos. 4-5).
