Miranda Joseph is the author of Against the Romance of Community (University
of Minnesota Press, 2002), and "The Performance of Production and Consumption"
(Social Text 54), which explore the supplementary relation between community
and capitalism. Her teaching/research interests include Marxist, feminist, queer,
and poststructuralist social theory, Cultural Studies, nonprofit organizations,
prisons, globalization, and debt.
