Although I was not born in Tucson, a huge part of my heart
belongs to this city. I grew up between here and Denver, where
I graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2006 with an
individualized degree titled International Politics- Race, Gender, Class,
and Liberation with minors in history and political science. I'm a
feminist/queer/political theory junkie and activist addict. I co-created
and formerly directed the AFSC-Colorado Youth and (De)Militarization Program
and also worked at the GLBT Student Services at Auraria. A few of my academic
interests are immigration from the Caribbean (particularly Haiti) to the
United States, international politics, gender and development, and indigenous
people's politics. I'm also involved in a historical love affair with Emma
Goldman. In my spare time I like to visit art museums, stalk bookstores
and coffee shops, and travel.
