High School Mentoring Program
During the Spring semester, WISE arranges for female high school students to spend one day on campus with a college student and then "job shadow" a professional woman to observe a typical day in her profession. The professional women mentors will be selected from university faculty and industries in the community. Each mentor will sponsor one student for one day.
The program consists of an Orientation, a two-week interval to schedule a day for the student to accompany her mentor to the workplace, and a Closing Reception. Attendance is mandatory at all activities.
