The Women's Studies Advisory Council
The Women's Studies Advisory Council (WOSAC) is a member-based community organization that promotes and supports the students, faculty and activities of the University of Arizona Women's Studies Department.
In 2008-2009 WOSAC distributed over $35,000 in direct aid to Women's Studies students and faculty. The budget for 2009-10 calls for over $40,000 in direct
aid.
WOSAC members include approximately 200 women from the Tucson community: homemakers, businesswomen, faculty members, medical and legal professionals, artists, writers, and others. In addition to the phenomenal support they give to the Women's Studies Department, these women enjoy great benefits as WOSAC members.
