Women Who Lead

The 12th Annual Women Who Lead, held November 18, 2008 at the Arizona Inn, honored 4 women leaders in Tucson. This year's honorees were Kathy Alexander, Ruth W. Brinkley, Bobbie Jo Buel and Toni Massaro.

After a career as Vice President Director for the Tucson and Phoenix campuses, Kathy Alexander retired from the University of Phoenix and opened her own successful businesses - Arizona Stagecoach and Salon de Nouveau.

A recent newcomer to Arizona, Ruth W. Brinkley continues her successful career in the health industry as President and CEO of Carondelet Health Network in Tucson.

Executive Editor of the Arizona Daily Star, Bobbie Jo Buel, also serves as president of the Associated Press Managing Editors association and has been inducted into the University of Arizona's Wildcat Hall of Fame.

After joining the University of Arizona College of Law in 1989, Toni Massaro has held the position of Dean at the James E. Rogers College of Law since 1999 and was named Regents' Professor in 2006.
